I love helping buyers find their first place in San Francisco! It takes me back to when my husband and I found our Noe Valley condo many years ago when Noe Valley wasn’t the destination it is today. At the time in 1990, my friends wanted to know why we were moving so far away from the north end of the city where we all lived. We couldn’t find anything on the north end for what we could afford. So we ventured into Noe Valley and found a 2 bedroom condo with a sweet garden that was perfect for us. As fate would have it, 33 years later I represented a buyer who fell in love with the same exact home, long after we had sold, and I represented them in buying it!
I recently had the good fortune of helping a couple look for their first SF condo. They ended up choosing one at 1176 Broadway which is at the cusp of Russian Hill and Nob Hill. It’s a top floor 3 bedroom condo in a 2-unit building with classic details. Because of how fast the market is moving right now, before there was even a first open house, someone else made an offer. My clients had to move fast and put forward a “clean offer” at an attractive price. (A clean offer is one which the sellers can be highly confident will be completed: all cash and minimal or no contingencies) They got it! They are thrilled and I’m thrilled for them. It’s a perfect location for their needs being a short ride or longer walk to their downtown offices. Better yet, they got it for a good price that is much less than the average for a 3 bedroom condo in that area.
